PowTechnology Welcomes Dr Navya Ventakeshaiah To Our Development Team
PowTechnology are delighted to welcome Dr Navya Ventakeshaiah, who joins us as a Lead Developer! Navya comes to us with PhD in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Cloud Computing Technologies and broad experience of industrial processes, including high performance motion control technology and contract finishing of metal components. Her extensive research experience encompasses industrial automation, machine learning, neural network, cloud and IoT devices. We spoke to Nayva about her inspirations and aspirations:
“My inspiration to become an engineer began with a deep curiosity about how systems work, especially where the digital meets the physical. Growing up, I was deeply moved by the story of Kalpana Chawla, a pioneering woman in aerospace engineering and space exploration.
Her courage, intellect and dedication pushed me to believe that women can achieve anything in STEM!
I have been fortunate, not only to work on meaningful engineering projects, but also serve to as a Women in Engineering ambassador at the University of Wolverhampton, encouraging others, especially young women, to pursue engineering paths.
PowTechnology offers the perfect convergence of my experience in industrial automation, embedded systems and IoT. I’m particularly excited about the company’s product range and its focus on real-time monitoring, smart sensors and data-driven decision-making.
I believe in “empowering change through data.” For me, IIoT is not just about sensors and connectivity, it’s about transforming traditional systems into intelligent, self-optimising platforms.
What attracted me to PowTechnology was the opportunity to work across multiple sectors and to keep learning, applying emerging technologies in real-world use cases. For someone passionate about continuous growth, digital transformation and hands-on engineering, PowTechnology really felt like the right place to build the next chapter of my career!
What stands out most of all is the real-world impact of our products and how much thought goes into every design and deployment decision.
My personal philosophy is that technology should serve both efficiency and sustainability. With smarter sensors, predictive maintenance and real-time insights, we can reduce waste, improve productivity and build greener industrial systems. I also see IIoT as a mechanism to bridge the gap between legacy industries and the digital age, bringing a human-centric approach to innovation.
So far, this role has been both exciting and rewarding, offering a balance of challenge and creativity. I’ve also felt welcomed and supported by the PowTechnology team, who are not just skilled, but also collaborative. I’ve really enjoyed being involved in conversations that stretch beyond pure engineering, into areas such as customer needs, product design evolution and cross-functional planning. This role has exceeded my expectations already and I feel proud to be contributing to the innovation journey at PowTechnology.”

Outside of work, Navya enjoys spending time with her children, gardening and painting. She combines these interests with garden décor and has a growing passion for creating and designing terrariums. She also likes writing and publishing research papers whenever possible.
