As we head into the final quarter of 2021, we talked to Dave Oakes, PowTechnology MD for an update.
“You are viewing this article on our shiny new web site for a start! It’s a thoroughly modernized showcase for our expanded range of IIoT solutions, with plenty of real application examples.
I love the way it clearly demonstrates that, unlike so many others in our industry, we are not a shopfront for third-party developers. We offer over 30 years of genuine expertise and practical experience in sensing, instrumentation and communications and can guide customers through the different technologies available.
2021 has definitely been a year of change! A major investment by Quinn Venture Investments has super-charged our corporate growth strategy. New Directors, Peter Quinn and John Higham, have brought commercial expertise and an impressive track record of developing established businesses.
In fact, PowTechnology are on track for our best ever year, despite the well-documented challenges created by our legislative and health environment.
New planning and project management tools have helped enormously in managing our supply chain and we are thankful that Covid has not affected the PowTechnology team or their families.
Covid highlighted the benefits of remote monitoring to many new industrial sectors. Consequently, PowTechnology have recruited to every department, expanding to maintain the highest quality of customer experience, as our range of remote monitoring solutions has diversified and enquiries have increased.
We have also brought specific expertise in-house with the creation of key CTO and IIoT Solutions Architect roles.
Our R&D programme is progressing at a pace. The year started with the launch of our fully redeveloped MetronView platform, incorporating the highest levels of security, intuitive functionality and aesthetics.
More recently, we released a powerful suite of IIoT building blocks, integrating GSM/GPRS, Sigfox, LoRa, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, CAN, MODBUS & IO-Link to MetronView.
