Powelectrics Welcome Peter Crowther as our New CTO!

PowTechnology are delighted to welcome Peter Crowther as our CTO. Peter is an IT architect, developer and trouble-shooter with over 30 years of experience.  He has delivered projects for many organisations, including Microsoft, GE, Nova Chemicals, GSK and the Universities of Liverpool, Oxford and Manchester!

Peter has been writing programs, drawing circuit diagrams, and wrangling data since the mid ’70s, when computers were slow and still lived in air-conditioned rooms, so PowTechnology will be benefitting from exceptional experience in all aspects of our technological development!

Dave Oakes, PowTechnology MD, explained “Peter has worked with PowTechnology for several years. I’m thrilled to welcome him as an integral part of our management team, helping to shape our strategy and bringing his immense knowledge to our R&D programme.”

Peter added “Dave has already ensured that PowTechnology has got plenty of interesting and innovative developments in the pipeline.  It’s great to work on disruptive products that are flexible, easy to customise, and therefore quicker to get into use, solving 100% of a real-world problem.”

Outside of work, Peter plays bass guitar and keyboards in several bands, calls for ceilidhs and runs sound for everything from theatre gigs to festivals.

His greatest wish as he matures is for someone to devise a weightless loudspeaker!
