Vectec Limited designs, installs and maintains refuelling facilities for commercial and public sector organisations. Having used PowTechnology’s tank level monitoring for years, they needed an lloT solution for customers who store diesel at unmanned sites, to protect them from theft.
The solution monitors fuel level rate of change over a set period. It incorporates a beacon and klaxon as a local deterrent. Parameters are user-defined. Alarms are sent to staff, so they can attend site to minimise losses and the risk of spillage. Devices have uninterruptible power supplies and cutting the probe cable triggers the alarm.
This PowTechnology lloT solution offers a simple retrofit. Vectec customers now have a local deterrent and 24/7 alarming, based on their own usage patterns, to help avoid the costs and environmental risks of theft and tank damage.
