Henry Powell, Powelectrics Founder, Has Sadly Passed Away

Powelectrics are sorry to advise of the recent passing of our retired company founder, Henry Powell, aged 92.

Henry first established Powelectrics in 1983.

Powelectrics became a Limited Company in 1990, at which time we became the UK distributor for EGE Elektronik sensors, which we remain to this day.

Henry continued to develop Powelectrics until his retirement over twenty years ago, which gave him more time to enjoy time with his wife, Bronwyn and his extended family.

He lived in Spain for a number of years and returned more recently to be closer to family.

Dave Oakes, Powelectrics MD, told us:

“I knew Henry from childhood, as a business colleague of my father, who always spoke fondly of him.

He was always very warm and welcoming, as well as being patient and kind-hearted.

Although not many of the current Powelectrics team worked with Henry, our new recruits are all made aware of our history and part Henry played, including giving us his name!”
