Sigfox For Temperature & Humidity
A low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) is a type of wireless telecommunication network designed to allow long range communications at a low bit rate among connected objects, such as sensors operated on a battery. As the name suggests, they have low power draw and provide coverage to wide areas.
The most widely deployed proprietary LPWAN technology is Sigfox. PowTechnology are Sigfox partners and offer a range of Sigfox devices that are battery powered, weatherproof and incredibly easy to deploy.
This self contained Sigfox device for remote temperature & humidity comes in a compact enclosure with an easy to replace battery. It has built in sensors for temperature and humidity and can transmit the readings periodically, as well as when thresholds are breached, using the SIGFOX network.
The battery life depends on how often it transmits – 10 years is possible.
The device is approved for use on the Sigfox networks. Data can be reported to our hosted data collection services allowing you easily view data securely via web portals, receive alarms and even integrate with 3rd party software solutions using our API.
