Hillhead Was Hot, Hectic and Happening for PowTechnology!

It was certainly an impressive event. Our stand was incredibly busy as thousands of people passed us on their way to the big shiny kit on display outside.

Our stand looked amazing and our Siemens belt weigher proved to be a huge draw, with an almost frantic flow of visitors at times. Enquiries came from all over the world … quite literally from as far afield as Outer Mongolia!

As well as the belt weigher, there was a great deal of interest in the Siemens’ SITRANS SCM IQ easy retrofit smart monitoring system for mechanical equipment, using AI and anomaly detection to prevent downtime before it occurs. It is ideal for mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors or gearboxes. More here.

Our IIoT solutions can deliver major benefits for abstraction and discharge of mine water, data analysis of bitumen and belt weighing, as well as the tank/silo level.

Our own Metron4 telemetry hardware and flexible MetronView cloud were also exceptionally well received, with enquiries focusing on remote monitoring of tank and silo level, temperature, pressure and flow, but also emissions and energy monitoring and of course ... remote condition monitoring.

It was certainly very warm on the first two days, which showed off the outdoor kit to great advantage and gave the show a bit of a festival feel!
